Kinderhook Reformed Church

Our History

historicalsign.jpg

The first Reformed Church in Kinderhook was built in 1677 and the second in 1717. The third church was built in 1814 at the site of the present church and was badly damaged by fire in1867. It was rebuilt in 1869, where it stands today at its present location on the corner of Church and Broad Streets in Kinderhook, N.Y.
Today, we support missionaries and staff throughout the world. We have Sunday School, Worship Service every Sunday, weekly Bible study and prayer group and Vacation Bible School in Summer. We have family programs throuhout the year, support missions with a yearly pancake breakfast and hold evening services during Lenten Season before Easter.  We have a Christmas program presented by our Sunday School children, an Open House Celebration with Kinderhook's Village Candlelight Night and a traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.
We have pipe organ recitals open to the public and a committeee system  that encourages members to take an active role in our church.
If you are looking for a church that seeks to obey Holy Scripture and follow the Reformed Church traditions, we invite you to worship with us and become a part of our church family today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
